Raquel Jacobson-Peregrino

began dancing ballet, modern and jazz in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. While an undergraduate Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges she took ballet from Tony Williams and danced with the Harvard-Radcliffe Ballet Folklorico de Atztlan. She is the director and a founding member of Tierra del Sol, a community based ballet folklorico that performs throught greater Boston. She is a member of the Asociacion Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos and represented the Northeast Region on the Board. She organizes the annual Jose Tena Folklorico Workshop every February.  She has a Masters of Education from Harvard and teaches Earth Science at Boston Latin School.
