Joe Gonzalez

was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts August 25, 1988. Joe Gonzalez started his dance at the age of 13 at the Roxbury Center for the Performing Arts. He started with very little training until the Roxbury Center introduced tap, jazz, and ballet and he was a dance major at the Boston Arts Academy, an honors academics student, for four years. Joe has participated in many summer programs and master classes, such as Boston Conservatory summer intensive, American Dance Festival, and Bates Dance Festival on scholarships, master classes and set works by Alvin Ailey American dance Theatre, Anna Sokolo Dance Ensemble, Ronald K. Brown, and Paul Taylor dance Company, Sean Curran, Nathan Trice, Pedro Ruiz Jr., and Jose Limon Dance Company, and many more. He also dances hip hop, and is co-owner of a dance troop called the Golden Kidz. Joe is currently still a student at the Boston Conservatory and is dancing for ‘A” Major Dance Company, Anna Myer and Dancers, Ballet Rox and is teaching alongside Ballet Rox within the community centers and other community dance schools. After becoming a professional dancer Joe would one day like to own schools of performing arts worldwide and create companies with performances of diverse pieces inspired by Black History show at the Roxbury Center and spring fest at the Boston Arts Academy.
