 Catherine Rhodes
received her ballet training from Larry and Colleen Robertson,
formerly of the Boston Ballet and Ballet
West. She performed with the SeaCoast
Ballet Company of New Hampshire for over 10 years in The
Nutcracker, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night's Dream, La
Boutique Fantasque, and Carmina Burana, among others. She spent a year with the New
England Ballet of Connecticut, performing in The Nutcracker and
Romeo & Juliet. She
received a minor in dance at the University of New Hampshire, where she was active
with the college's dance company in ballet, jazz, modern, and tap, and created
the title role in a new ballet with original music, Pinocchio. She taught
all ages at Joy of Dance studio in New Hampshire for
one year before pursuing a degree in Interior Design
at Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia. She is in her sixth year of teaching at TWDC, where she works with the teen/adult classes, teaching ballet, pointe, and conditioning. She is on the faculty
of Interior Design at Becker College in Worcester, and is the mother of a future TWDC dancer!
