Class Attire

Wear the appropriate attire and shoes, based on the class, as listed below. Hair should be neatly pulled back. For ballet, girls’ hair must be in a bun. For children: No Jewelry except for small earrings.


GRADED BALLET ATTIRE

Girls:   

Color Code Leotard (see R)

  • Pink footed tights
  • Pink Ballet Slipppers
    Level C+ split-soled.
  • First Steps, pink ballet skirts acceptable.

Boys:  

White tee shirt
Black tights or jazz pants
Black or white ballet slippers

Leotard must be correct color for level.

TWDC DRESS CODE

  • Jammin Jazz/Tap: Black leotard and tan tights. Tan tap shoes and Tan jazz booties (no ties please).

  • Jazz/Tap: Solid color leotard. Black bottoms. Tight-fitting leggings/capris acceptable. Black tap shoes and Tan jazz booties (no ties please).

  • Tap (Saturday): Fitted black jazz capris.  Well-fitted plain t-shirt.  No logos or baggy clothing please.  Black tap shoes.

  • Intermediate Jazz: Black leotard, tan tights, black jazz shorts. Students may go bare-legged as long as wearing black jazz shorts. Black jazz booties (no ties please).

  • Lyrical: Solid color leotard. Tan stirrup or footless tights. Students may go bare-legged as long as wearing dance shorts. Dance skirts acceptable. No shoes necessary.

  • Modern: Solid color leotard. Tan stirrup or footless tights. Students may go bare-legged as long as wearing dance shorts.

  • Hip Hop: Dance/yoga style clothing. Solid color tight-fitting t-shirt or tank top. Tight-fitting leggings/capris acceptable. BLACK SNEAKERS, clean. No street shoes!

  • Belly Dance: Leggings or yoga pants, fitted top. Hip-wrap scarf or coin belt, may be purchased from instructor.  Hip wrap: can use a light-weight shawl or purchase one from the teacher.

  • Folklorico: Solid color leotard and tights. Bring socks if wearing footless tights. Black shorts acceptable. Teacher provides skirts. Folklórico or character shoes for girls/folklórico or flamenco boots for boys. Teacher will provide shoes/order if necessary.
